Noon Gun Outing.
On Tuesday 5 February and Wednesday 6 February, the Grade 4's took a trip up Signal Hill to experience the firing of the Noon Gun. This outing served as part of our history syllabus covering the history of our local area. It doesn't matter if it's your first visit or your tenth, learning about the history of the Noon Gun and watching it being fired is always an awesome experience. Petty Officer Moolman told the children about the gun and showed them how it is loaded with gunpowder before a message comes from the Observatory to signal that it is noon. Everyone had a lovely day.
