Centre for Conservation
As part of our History syllabus, the Grade 4'a need to make a museum display for assessment purposes. The Centre for Conservation offers a very good lesson that covers all the elements needed for this assessment. The children learnt the four ways they can find out about the history of an area. They looked at old photos of Sea Point. Each group was given an old object and asked to design a label for it. They then made their own displays and these needed to be well thought out so that all the objects could be seen nicely. It was a very successful outing and we are now preparing for our own display which will happen on 20 March.
